"Grüne Bildungswerkstatt" is a foundation for political education of the Autrian Green party. Our purpose is to activate citizens to pursue their political rights in an active and passive way.

So we try to motivate people for political issues as well as we support people who are beginning a political career in the green party.

Although we are independent from the Green party and organized as an NGO, we bind our work to the Green basic values which are ecology, solidarity, basic-democracy, peace, and feminism.

We are organized as a conclusion of 10 independent foundations - one in every Austrian region and one for the old and new ethnic minorities.

One of our favourite issues is the support of local Green councillors. Being often the only one or member of a small group in a village, working unpaid, and sometimes having bad connections in public traffic, the Internet is a good way to work with them.
